Is the CPC the same as the D licence?

No. D shows which vehicle you may drive. The Certificate of Professional Competence is a separate qualification with its own initial training, its own test at Trafikverket and its own validity. You may need both.

How many questions are in the CPC test?

The test has 65 questions, of which five are unscored trial questions. The maximum score is 60 points and you need at least 48 correct to pass. The time limit is 50 minutes.

Can I book the test straight away?

No. The initial qualification must be completed and registered with Transportstyrelsen before you can book the knowledge test at Trafikverket.

Are there special driving and rest time rules for buses?

Yes. In addition to the common EU rules there are special, more flexible rules for occasional passenger services regarding breaks, daily rest and weekly rest. They require you to carry a journey form proving the trip is an occasional service.

Does the course include lessons or only questions?

The course contains 13 written lessons on the professional role: responsibility, tachograph, driving and rest times, roadside checks, customer care, accessibility, conflict handling, privacy, health, ergonomics, accident scenes, fire and evacuation, and eco-driving.

How does it differ from YKB Gods?

Accepted Answer

They are two separate qualifications with the same test format but different content. Passenger transport covers passengers, accessibility and customer care; Gods covers load, documents and goods transport.

How many mock exams are included?

Seven full mock exams, in the same format and with the same time limit as the real test. They differ in difficulty, so you can start gently and work up towards exam day.

Are the questions copies of Trafikverket's exam questions?

No. The official questions are not published by Trafikverket. Ours are written to train the same knowledge in the same exam format, and every question comes with an explanation of why the answer is right.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Results per knowledge area, bookmarked questions, your own notes and how far you have got are stored on your account and follow you between computer and phone.

How do I know what to practise more?

The dashboard shows your result per knowledge area and highlights the ones where you are below 70 percent. Bookmark the questions you got wrong and run them as a session of their own.

Can I have several licences on one account?

Yes. Each licence is bought separately and added to the same account. You switch between them whenever you like, and progress in one does not affect the others.

Does the payment renew automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. You pay once for the period you choose and access ends when that period runs out. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Does the course work on a phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The site is built for mobile and can be added to your home screen as an app, so you can fit in a short session while you are waiting somewhere anyway.

What if I fail the real test?

You book a new test with Trafikverket. Your access here is unaffected while the period runs – use the statistics to see which areas pulled the result down and train those.

Does it cover first aid and evacuation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Health, crisis and sustainable driving is a knowledge area of its own: the scene of an accident, raising the alarm and first aid, fire and evacuating the bus, and the driver's own health – sleep, stress and ergonomics.
