How many questions does the B theory test have?

The theory test has 70 questions. 65 of them count toward the result and 5 are unscored trial questions. You need at least 52 of the 65 correct to pass, and the time limit is 50 minutes.

How long is a passed theory test valid?

From 19 August 2026 a passed theory test is valid for one year (previously four months). Both the theory test and the driving test must be passed within the validity period.

What does the theory test cost?

The fee for the theory test (knowledge test) at Trafikverket is 325 kr in the daytime. The driving test is charged separately. Prices can change – always check the current fee with Trafikverket.

What are the requirements to get a B licence?

You must be 18, hold a learner's permit from Transportstyrelsen, pass the theory and driving tests at Trafikverket, and complete risk education parts 1 and 2. You can start supervised practice from age 16.

In which languages can I take the theory test?

Trafikverket's theory test can be taken with Swedish, English and Arabic audio support, among others. On KörkortAkademi you can study in several languages, but the exam questions are always shown in Swedish because the real test is in Swedish.
